Thank you to everyone who registered for the 2011 NYC Job Fair. We’ve reached capacity on the number of people we can accommodate at the Job Fair and registration for this event is now closed. The Job Fair is by invitation only. Please register using the link above. You’ll receive the address with the invitation after you register.
hi I received an invitation by email but when I tried to register on the link it said closed can i use the email as an invitation or no?
Thanks for your question. Are you referring to the email that told you about the Job Fair and asked you to register? Unfortunately, that isn’t the ticket to get into the Job Fair. But, please do check our website for to apply directly to jobs and to find additional recruitment events.
Are there going to be any employers there looking for information technology professionals? I’m afraid that I don’t have experience in retail, security, maintenance or home health care, so I’m not able to attend – although I do have 15 years in information technology. Somewhat frustrating.
Hi Andrew, Thanks for leaving a comment. The Job Fair is not focused on IT jobs. But, the Job Fair is only one way to access jobs through Workforce1. Check out some IT jobs posted on our webapge. You can also visit the Workforce1 Career Center nearest you for additional job opportunities.
Of the two IT jobs listed – one I’m not qualified for (I build infrastructures on a global scale, haven’t done development work since the early 2000s) and the other, I’m pretty seriously overqualified for (I’ve trained Jr. Network/Systems Administrators in the past).
How often do IT jobs become available? Is there any way to get updates automatically when they do become available?
Hi Andrew, If you haven’t already, you might want to subscribe to the Workforce1 Career Bulletin, a weekly email with a sample of new job opportunities. The Workforce1 Career Bulletin highlights openings across different occupations – not just IT. You could quickly scan the jobs to see if any jobs are relevant to you. In addition, jobs on the website are generally updated every Monday, if you’d like to check back.
I registered last night prior to the registration closed. Never received a confirmation or anything. How can I still attend?
Hi Chris, Thanks for your question. Workforce1 staff members are still processing invitations for people who registered before all the spaces filled up. You should recieve a message within the next two hours.

I registered for the job fair but did not get an email with the time or Adress. I’m checking my email every 30 minutes
