Question: I’m 51 years old and have been unemployed for 2 years. Is there any type of on-the-job training, or “earn to learn” programs available for someone like myself! I need a job! – Yearning to Learn, a Workforce1 Career Blog Reader
Answer: Yes. Workforce1 is helping a set of employers provide on-the-job training to people who have been out of work for 6 months or more. Participating employers have included transportation, cable installation, accounting, and real estate companies. Plus, our Account Managers are in the process of engaging additional employers!
Visit your local Workforce1 Career Center to be screened for open positions where employers have committed to providing on-the-job training.

I am also interested in having someone contacted me in receiving on the Job Training….in trying to seek employment for several years and going to workforce, no such offer was ever suggested.
I am having an extremely hard time finding any employment. I am open to anything at this point, so on the job training sounds great. However i was never offered this, i’m ready!!!
